The Lion King probably one of the stand out movies from my childhood can this re-telling of the story live up to the original?
The Lion King is one of those movies that stands the test of time and was iconic for a whole generation of kids in the ’90s but can the live-action live up the animation.
For me, the live-action just wasn’t the same, while it brought realism to the characters with some amazing visual effects but it seemed like it lost something by being doing so. For some reason, I didn’t feel the connection the with characters like I did with the original. Along with the fact that they seemed to struggle to get the comedy back into the movie at times, that was once there.
Overall I enjoyed the live-action version of The Lion King and wouldn’t say don’t watch it because the story is fundamentally the same. Along with some cool animation but don’t expect the same experience from the original animation because me it just felt different.
